Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Perks

Modern Warfare 2′s multiplayer perks aren’t the same as Call of Duty 4 and here’s the breakdown…The Tiers have been changed up where what was once in the second tier can now be located in the first tier. One good example is Sleight of Hand which was a second Tier perk in COD4 and now in MW2 it is a Tier 1 perk. Sleight of Hand isn’t the same though and is back with an added bonus that the previous version didn’t have and that is the ability to aim down sights faster. Tier 1 Perks contain dual attachment abilities(BLING PERK) as well as the ability to swap classes at any time(ONE MAN ARMY). There is also an unlimited sprint perk(MARATHON) which also gives you the ability to climb obstacles faster.

Tier 2 perks seemed to just change in name and pretty much have the same abilities with a few extras. Stopping Power returns and has the same abilities as COD4. The Lightwieght perk allows you to move faster and seems to replace sleight of hand as the tier 2 movement perk. The Cold Blooded perk is a lot like UAV jammer with the added thermal block and the ability to hide you from sentries and air support. The Hardline perk seems a waste but maybe it will help get those kill/deathstreak bonuses by making it 1 less kill/death to get to use the bonus. The Danger Close perk is a lot like the COD4 Sonic boom perk in giving added explosive damage. If you like to use knives, then the Commando perk will definitely please you in that it gives you an extra distance to lunge and stab your enemies.

Tier 3 has even more changes that will make the COD4 player rub his eyes. Steady Aim is back and this time it has the added ability of COD4′s Iron Lung Perk. So Steady Aim just became a 2-in-1 perk with increased hip fire accuracy as well the ability to hold your breath longer when sniping. Another 2-in-1 perk is Sit Rep. Sit Rep gives you the same ability as Bomb Squad with the addition of exposing tactical insertions and you hear footsteps a lot clearer. With all these new perks and heartbeat sensors ready to expose everyone and everything, the Scrambler perk and Ninja perk are here to the rescue. The Scrambler perk not only confuses your enemies radar but it also delays the explosion of claymore traps, making this perk a deadly run-and-gun addition. Last Stand is another familiar COD4 perk that makes its return in MW2, and this time you have an added ability to use equipment and nades while your in the (10 Second) Last Stand. These perks are confirmed through actual gameplay and I hope this helps you get ready for Nov, 10! Checkout the full list of perks below.
