Sup members, Modern Warfare 2 is looking to have a new 3rd person mode for campaign and multiplayer gameplay according to several leaks and this youtube video (below) which shows the 3rd person mode in action. YourEMGN.com had a picture of the menu of the new game but the one below is from a french copy of the game some lucky guy got early. The translation is below it and it shows that there IS 3rd person modes for multiplayer which is good news for those that like that view mode and something new for the COD series fans to try.

UPDATE***Third person view is now available in private matches and two gamemodes/playlists called ‘3rd Person Team Deathmatch’ and ‘3rd Person Cage Match’.

The special mode can only be played in private matches — toggled on or off just like “Hardcore” settings — or in playlists that are designated for third-person play. According to Bowling, everyone playing in a third-person playlist will be restricted to the viewpoint. “This is just another cool way to play the game,” he said, “you obviously will still have the option to play gametypes normal as well.”
